Hi All,

I'm writing a journal update today for Christi. While it won't be up to her high author standards, it should give you some recent news which is more positive than the last entry on Monday. Christi told me that despite Chloe's vomiting and diarrhea, she is doing well. Her problems seem to be more from her stomach and throat rather than sores in her mouth as she has been throwing up thick mucus and even blood but this was to be expected per her treatment. While the vomiting upsets Chloe, it is only temporary and she soon is comforted. At the other end, diaper changes are frequent so there's been no let up there.. She continues to receive blood and platelets as needed and her symptoms will decrease as her blood condition improves. She does receive a morphine drip and some days rests more than others.

As to her parents, I am told they are hanging in there and have adjusted to the daily routine. Dennis has been superb in managing to work, travel between home and hospital bringing Christi's requested items and retaining his sense of humor. They still manage to laugh and joke and provide a positive environment for Chloe. Being restricted pretty much to the room is manageable for Christi.

Accessing the internet and updating the journal can be frustrating for Christi due to the slow service in the hospital. I hope I have conveyed the situation accurately and, if not, you won't be getting any more entries from

Mom
