Day +44

Tomorrow will be 8 weeks away from home for Chloe and me. Hopefully it will also be our discharge date. She has been doing well as she is weaned from some medications and switched from IV to tummy medications. She is still very, very tired but is laughing more and more responsive to us and others. We just really want to get her home. It will have a positive impact on all of us and getting her back to her old surroundings and routine will be the best. Even if we are discharged tomorrow (Monday), our time away from TCH will be short. We will likely return for clinic visits on Wednesday and Friday and begin a 3x weekly visit schedule next week. So we get to spend the nights at home, but normal routine will, I guess, change to something than it used to be. Extensive monitoring of blood work is needed to ensure things continue on the right path.

Anyway, please pray for or think of us tomorrow. Hopefully my next post will be from home.
